Ivory Henry

Hello, my name is Ivory Henry, I’m a multidisciplinary artist based in Worcester Massachusetts.

A huge focus of mine is to be able to create art that inspires and uplifts marginalized people. As you’d probably notice in my portfolio I really love drawing women of color. Oftentimes, the media does not give BIPOC the representation that we deserve. I’d like to provide this for those that grew up like me. This has been fueled even more because of my love for my community and working with youth.

I now focus solely on textile art because I can create imagery that people are encouraged to physically touch. I love the idea that you can carry art around with you or keep it around your home fascinates me.

Through my work with Recreation Worcester, I’ve worked directly with providing youth with art programming that they were able to do through the pandemic. I have been fortunate enough to aid in the development and growth of my community. It’s all worth it, I get to listen to children tell themselves that they are perfectly made.

I am always looking to connect with creatives, please feel free to reach out to me about anything.

Thank you!
